Traceability

 

At SalsaMan we have protocols in place to ensure the highest quality standards are met. That includes tracking all of the produce that our products are made with. All product codes can be easily traced to certify that every container of salsa that leaves our warehouse can be tracked back to the original ingredients it was made with. At SalsaMan we use a combination of a coded sticker on every case shipped and a best before date on every container of product shipped for tracking purposes. By quoting theses codes, we are able to trace the following:

 
  • The date the product was produced
  • Any hazards or abnormalities that occurred during production and the corrective action that was taken during production to ensure product safety
  • All ingredients and their tracking codes that the product was specifically made with
  • Any recalls or hazards that were reported from the ingredients used in the product
  • The pH reading of the product (we test every batch to maintain product safety and our high quality standards)
  • The temperature the product was stored at
  • The time the product was packaged
  • The time the product left our facility in a cold storage, refrigerated truck for shipping
  • The temperature of the product when it left our facility in a cold storage, refrigerated truck for shipping

To date, we have never been in a situation where we had to recall product. SalsaMan is rated as a "Very low risk" zone and we have received excellence in food safety and health inspections since opening.
